The paper presents results of measurements, between 1981 and 1991, of the 1.35-cm-line transmission from IRC-20431 in the near-solar plasma at distances from 4 to 30 solar radii from the sun. The long-term measurements revealed basic changes taking place in the course of the 11-year solar cycle in the radial dependence of the scintillation index m. It was found that scattering at the lowest distance from the sun decreased abruptly in the years of minimal solar activity. This effect is explained by the significant anisotropy of solar supercorona. The coronal anisotropy lowered during the years of high solar activity, leading to the restoration of intensive scattering in the polar region passed by the source.
