An array of inductively coupled Josephson junctions is considered and it is shown that in presence of a fast impurity which is a junction with a smaller value of critical current, a small amplitude periodic signal can be detected all elsewhere in the array, when is imposed on the fast component. On the other hand, small amplitude signals which are imposed on the other oscillators in the array have minor effect on the dynamics of the whole
