Preliminary results of measurements of the thermal conductivities of liquid methane and ethane at temperatures close to the currently proposed surface temperature of Titan are reported. The measurements were taken using a prototype of the Huygens surface science package thermal properties subsystem, which will measure the temperature, thermal conductivity, and thermal diffusivity of Titan's putative ocean.
