The secular changes of the inner rotation of the sun, as it evolves on the main sequence, were calculated taking into account the inexorable solar-wind torque as well as the gradual reduction of the eddy diffusivities in the chemically inhomogeneous parts of the solar radiative core. It was found that the constraints derived by these calculations are in good agreement with those derived from the turbulent mixing of matter and the solar surface abundances. Thus, contrary to a widely held opinion, it is shown that a moderate amount of eddylike and/or wavelike motions is quite sufficient to keep the inner and outer parts of the solar radiative solar interior rotating nearly uniformly.
