A search was made for tachyons using a device (combining an ionization calorimeter and two hodoscopic detectors) that detects single muons in a quasi-horizontal flux of cosmic rays. Candidate tachyons were sought in a flux of particles that were considered to be in advance of the shower front; the range of primary nucleon energies was 10 to the 11th to 10 to the 13th eV. Time distributions of the advanced particles were obtained, and a plot of time of advance vs zenith angle is presented.
