We combine a simple quasi-geostrophic flow model with the Zabusky-McWilliams
theory of atmospheric vortex dynamics to address a hurricane-tracking problem
of interest to the insurance industry. This enables us to make predictions
about the "follow-my-leader" phenomenon.
