Integrated optics (IO) applications to astronomical interferometry have been studied since 1996 at LAOG. Here we will present our developments and recent results. Following the first IONIC on-sky measurements in November 2000 with two telescopes, both the IONIC instrument and the IOTA interferometer have been upgraded for the simultaneous combination of three telescope beams. First IO on-sky phase closure measurements have thus been obtained in February 2002. IO studies are also conducted in the scope of the ESA IRSI/DARWIN space mission, including high level nulling interferometry and technological research and development program in order to extend the wavelength range to thermal IR. In parallel to beam combination, IO functions developed in the field of telecommunication could be used, concerning for example metrology or fringe tracking applications.
