We studied numerically the instability of a steady-state flow occurring at the interface of two hypersonic source flows. The study is carried out using the high resolution modification of Godunov scheme, both within the framework of the ideal gas model and with taking into account the effect of nonlinear heat conduction. The results obtained are in agreement with linear theory predictions. The solution within the framework of adiabatic ideal gas model depends on certain grid resolution. When nonlinear heat conduction is taken into account, then, beginning from a certain grid resolution, the solution no longer depends on it, and, therefore, correctly describes the instability development, which is of convective type.
