The relative vertical deformation detection capability of a network of
sea level gauges in the Shumagin seismic gap, Alaska has been improved.
An examination of the present noise levels suggests that the network is
now capable of providing relative deformation data that is quieter than
data from leveling, GPS, VLBI, or satellite laser ranging.
