We study the optical properties of a single core-shell GaAs-AlGaAs nanowire
(grown by VLS method) using the technique of micro-photoluminescence and
spatially-resolved photoluminescence imaging. We observe large linear
polarization anisotropy in emission and excitation of nanowires.
