In order to study the mass identification for iron-group isotop es, we have exposed a stack of CR-39 sheets to 56 Fe ions with an energy of 500 MeV/nucleon. A preliminary result showed the mass resolution of CR-39 for iron isotop es to be 0.35±0.11 amu. It was found that the most significant contributions to the mass disp ersion were "thickness measurement error" and "depth measurement error" in the present mass identification measurement.
