Experimental data on muon distribution in extensive atmospheric showers
(EAS) with a fixed number of particles and data on the EAS maximum depth
distribution are analyzed in the context of a refined model of
quark-gluon strings extended to nucleus-nucleus interactions. The
accuracy of model predictions is evaluated.
