The present work studies some observations of stria-bursts at the frequencies of 12.5 to 25 MHz. Two types of stria-bursts are shown to exist: ordinary and diffusive. At 25 MHz, the ordinary stria-bursts have an average duration of about 1 sec, a bandwidth of 0.07 MHz, and a frequency drift of 0.07 MHz per sec. These ordinary stria-bursts form split-pairs and triplets with the frequency splitting varying within 40 to 300 kHz. The diffusive stria-bursts are of essentially longer duration (10 sec) and have no frequency drift. The frequency splitting in diffusive pairs is larger than for ordinary pairs, being on the average 180 kHz at 25 MHz. Bandwidth of diffusive-bursts at 25 MHz was on the average 0.12 MHz. Sometimes the successions of two analogous stria-bursts, split-pairs or triplets, formed echo-type events. The bursts of the frequency-splitted pair and triplet type, as well as their separate elements (stria-bursts), have a strong tendency to appear in chains which drift in frequency in a manner similar to type III bursts. The existence of two types of chains is demonstrated, one which corresponds to the fundamental and the other to the second harmonic.
