Using the analytic, continuous energy loss model of Berezinsky and Gordieva, for ultra-high energy cosmic rays (UHECR) traversing the cosmic microwave background, we evaluate a number of different source models for the UHECR's. We find that the HiRes strongly supports diffuse source models over point sources, and that the diffuse sources should evolve in the same manner as luminous matter. These fits also corroborate HiRes's claim to have observed the GZK cutoff.
