A new type of Pc 1 pulsation with a fingerprint structure is described. Frequency-time spectra for the magnetic pulsations obtained at the Syowa station, Antarctica and the Husafell station, Iceland in 1984 are analyzed in order to confirm that the emission is a natural phenomenon. The conjugate characteristics of the fingerprint type of Pc 1 emission are examined to study the emission generation mechanism. It is observed that the fine structure of the frequency-time spectra consists of many horizontal lines with very narrow frequency bandwidths; the frequency separation of adjacent lines is constant; the frequency differences are between 15-25 mHz; and the enhanced band of each harmonic structure change their frequencies simultaneously. The data also reveal that the fine structures of the emission display good geomagnetic conjugacy when the emissions are observed with enough intensity at both stations.
