Scientific paper

We have carried out a far-infrared survey in the Lockman Hole (LH) using ISOPHOT, which was an imaging photopolarimeter onboard ISO. The survey was performed in two fields, LHEX and LHNW, between revolutions 194 and 215 (May 28 and June 19, 1996). Each field extends approximately 44'x44'. The center of the LHEX field is at RA=10 52 00, DE=+57 21 30 (J2000), and LHNW is at RA=10 33 55, DE=+57 46 20 (J2000). LHEX contains the field in which the ROSAT Deep Survey was carried out (Hasinger et al., 1998, Cat. ).
Our ISOPHOT observations were made using the PHT22 raster mapping mode in the C90 band (reference wavelength 90um) and the C160 band (reference wavelength 170um).
