Information on the photonuclear reactions in the energy region below the
E1 giant resonances is vital for understanding astrophysical processes
relevant to nucleosynthesis. Several topics from recent experimental
studies of the photonuclear reactions with a high-quality monochromatic
γ-ray beam will be presented.
