In the paper the correlation coefficient between the solar total irradiance and various kinds of projected areas of sunspots, the projected area of umbra of large sunspot group, the projected area of large sunspot group, the projected area of all the sunspots on the disk per day are calculated respectively by means of the data from the large sunspot groups photographed with 26 cm Vacuum Solar Telescope, the data from the sunspot groups drawn at the Yunnan Observatory and the solar total irradiance measured by the radiator on Nimbus 7 during the period of the 22nd solar maximum years. As a result these correlation coefficients successively are r1 = -0.89, r(2) = -0.77, r3 = -0.59. The brief explanation is given to these results and the other relevant result is also discussed.
