Cosmic Rays: Air Showers
Scientific paper
The absolute differential energy spectrum and angular distribution of hadrons is presented for altitude 3250 m above sea level. Experimental data obtained with high statistical accuracy are compared with a Monte Carlo calculation of the passage of the primary cosmic radiation through the atmosphere. The theoretical and statistical analysis is carried out of the influence of the selection of events on the basis of the shower accompaniment on the measured physical characteristics of the flux of hadrons. The dependence of the cross section for inelastic interaction of nucleons with air nuclei on energy is determined.
