A nonlinear algorithm is developed for determining satellite attitude on
the basis of angular-velocity-sensor indications with sufficiently weak
limits on the satellite-rotation characteristics. The method is
illustrated by results for the Intercosmos-17 satellite with a passive
three-axis stabilization system in the orbital coordinate system.
