The variational theory of invariance is used to obtain a numerical solution to the problem of synthesizing an explicit control law for spacecraft descent in a disturbed atmosphere. This law provides for the absolute independence of the given quality index from atmospheric-density disturbances and certain parameters of the spacecraft. Results of simulation are presented for descent distance control in the disturbed atmosphere of the earth.
