Scientific paper

The paper examines the use of an heuristic self-organization algorithm
to predict indices of solar and geomagnetic activity in a dynamic model
of the earth's atmosphere. It is shown that this algorithm makes it
possible to improve predictions of the density of the upper atmosphere
and to extend the range of the prediction.
