An increase was detected in the amplitude of the north-south asymmetry of Galactic cosmic rays (GCRs) with an increase in the angular distance of the neutral surface of the interplanetary magnetic field. The sign of this asymmetry depends on the orientation of the 'magnetic moment' of the general solar magnetic field. The magnitude of the radial gradient of the GCR in the time interval immediately after the magnetic field polarity reversals is estimated. The energy spectrum of the variation is determined.
