Various papers on current developments in optical engineering are presented. Individual topics addressed include: precision dual-positioning system, evaluation of optical sytems designed using the concentric-aplanatic method, analysis of Wollason polarizer in imaging systems, design of a 20-element long focal length zoom lens, discussion of reflection microcirculation microscope design, use of computer simulation to characterize interferometer performance, new process for manufacturing arrays of microlenses on various substrates, design of Shack-Hartmann plate with GRIN rod lenses, design consideration of Chinese long-baseline stellar interferometer. Also discussed are: limitation of wavefront tilt sensor in adaptive astronomical telescope, forward photorefractive multibeam mixing in BaTiO3, correcting chromatic aberration in holographic optical systems, phase quantization and discretization in diffractive optics, photorefractive two-wave mixing in tantalum-doped potassium niobate, diffraction intensity for foci of the Fresnel zone plate, evaluation technique of MTFe for sampled imaging systems, evaluation system of space multispectral sensor in earth resources remote sensing.
