We have analysed rotation modulated light-curves of active giants observed with CoRot using spots model. Preliminary results suggest an increase of the surface spot coverage with decreasing rotation period. A maximum of the surface spot coverage seems to occur on giants with effective temperature around 5100 K. Confirmation and interpretation of these preliminary results require groundbased follow-up observations to measure activity indicators, to identify binary systems, and to determine the stellar parameters and evolutionary status of the sample giants.
