Scientific paper
By using the 13.7 m radio telescope of Purple Mountain Observatory, the CO J = 1-0 rotation transition spectra (115 GHz) of the C-stars IRC +10216 and CIT 6 were obtained from Dec 1996 to Jan 1997. The authors obtained VLSR = -26.2 km s-1 and Vexpand = 14.8 km s-1 for IRC +10216, VLSR = 0.6 km s-1 and Vexpand = 13.8 km s-1 for CIT 6. The pointing and beamwidth of the telescope have been discussed.
