A new variety of fine frequency structure in Pc 1 geomagnetic pulsations is described. The structure consists of chevron-shaped tones which, in the examples observed, have their vertices directed either all to the right or all to the left in the spectrograms of a particular pulsations event. The observations of the chevron-structured events were made at Roberval, Quebec. They appear to be a high-latitude phenomenon, because no such events have been observed at Stanford, California.
