Scientific paper

Hα plus [NII] and R-band CCD photometry and derived parameters are presented for the full sample of 334 spiral and irregular galaxies. Galaxy distances are derived using a Virgo-infall corrected model which is described in the paper, and star formation rates are derived from Hα plus [NII] fluxes using the conversion defined by Kennicutt et al. (1994ApJ...435...22K). The entries are arranged within five bins in recession velocity, and in order of increasing Right Ascension within these bins.
