Near IR spectra of carbon dioxide clathrate hydrates have been obtained in the laboratory and are used to study the surfaces of Phoebe and Europa using Cassini and Galileo mission data, respectively. Spectral features of CO2 clathrates hydrates may be found on icy moons surfaces and we are exploring for their presents and determining their detectivity.
