44Ca/40Ca and 48Ca/40Ca ratios of carbonates and some carbonatites were measured with standard deviations of 0.4% and 0.7% respectively. There is no significant isotopic difference between these materials. A slight progressive displacement in the δ-values in Kaiserstuhl carbonatite samples indicates a possible trend of increasing ratios of 44Ca and 48Ca relative to 40Ca with increasing physical size of the rock unit in the series vein, dyke and massive carbonatite intrusion.
