We propose to explore the pulsational characteristics of AGB variables in the globular cluster 47 Tuc. The pulsation of these stars is critical for the understanding of mass loss in low metallicity stars. To investigate this question we plan to combine velocity and photometric monitoring with observations of mass loss and circumstellar matter. This proposal aims to provide the necessary photometric light curve data which will be combined with velocity observations obtained at Mt. Stromlo.
