The use of the Large-Field Lallemand Electronographic Camera as a detector for two-dimensional photometry with large instruments is considered. With the CHF 3.6-meter telescope, the angular field is 10 arcmin at the Cassegrain F/8 focus; the electronographic sequence extends to V = 21 and makes it possible to measure stars up to V = 24-25. The camera resolution is better than 15 microns; even with images of 0.6 arcsec, it is possible to analyze correctly the image profile of a star or very distant galaxy. As the background emission of the tube is very low, it is possible to use the optical density of the continuous signal due to the sky luminance as an in situ criterion of local sensitivity, thus permitting a precise flat field correction. During two observing runs, plates have been obtained of the following objects: globular clusters, the south arm of Messier 33, elliptical galaxies, N galaxies, quasars, BL Lac objects, optical jets, and gravitational lenses.
