The approximate solutions of the equations of motion of the center of mass of entry spacecraft, obtained in the present paper, are used to derive an analytical expression for the descent-path parameters as a function of one of the phase coordinates. The existence of an explicit time-dependence is established for the phase coordinate treated as an independent variable in the integration of the equations of motion. This makes it possible to upgrade the accuracy of the solution by allowing for gravitational turn. Convenient final expressions are derived for calculating the descent-path parameters.
