NMR of laser-polarized noble gas (129Xe and 3He) has great utility as a probe of a wide variety of physical and biomedical problems. We will report recent progress in the development of a very-low-field, open-geometry, human-scale NMR imaging system; velocity-selective NMR imaging of convective fluid flow; studies of porous media microstucture; and NMR measurements of gas motion in fluidized granular media.
