The bivariational method is used to solve the radiative transfer problem for the case of an anisotropic inhomogeneous finite slab, and albedo results are presented. Numerical results for the reflection and transmission coefficients for the homogeneous case are found to agree well with the results of Siewert and Devaux (1978). Results for the inhomogeneous case are given for various proportions of forward and isotropic scattering.
