In the present numerical model of ionosphere-plasmasphere interactions, plasma parameters within the model's framework are calculated on the basis of a complete system of equations as well as the standard expression of the thermal flux in terms of the temperature gradient. The most notable difference for electron temperature occurs during the morning and evening hours and is attributable to the nonstationarity of the thermal flux, which also leads to the faster heating and cooling of electrons, respectively, at dawn and dusk. The differences in plasma density height distributions are caused by those in electron temperature and are therefore greatest during the morning and evening hours.
