D3 emission line data distributions for emerging solar flux loops and mound prominences above the limb were fit with Gaussian profiles generated under two different assumptions. The data were acquired with facilities at the Hida Observatory in Japan. The Gaussian fits were attempted with two assumptions: first, the emission intensities of the broadened components contributed insignificantly to the intensities of the main components of the observed profiles; secondly, six free parameters were simultaneously determined with no restrictions on the data. Separated components were found to have lifetimes averaging 2 min, while broadened components (BC) lasted 3.2 min. The BC had line-of-sight accelerations that ranged from 0.01-0.1 km/sec-sq. Short-duration BC arose from a lump ejection of material while long-duration BC were products of multiple ejections.
