A small dust telescope was developed to measure the properties of micrometeoroids. The instrument combines a trajectory sensor with a time-of-flight mass spectrometer. Both subsystems determine simultaneously the characteristics of individual dust grains entering the aperture with speeds between 1 and 50 km/s. Here, we report about mass spectra achieved with a laboratory instrument using nickel submicron sized projectiles.
