Fundamental Problems And General Formalism

The results predicted by Newtonian gravity and general relativity are
compared regarding the field produced by an infinite gauge string with
constant density λ. A simple gedankenexperiment is suggested to
stress the remarkable differences between these two theories. The
existence of the usual Newtonian limit is discussed in this case.
