The Medium Resolution Proton Spectrometer (MRS) at the Los Alamos Meson Physics Facility (LAMPF) was used to develop a position-sensitive proton telescope with CsI(pure) crystals. Photomultiplier tubes were mounted at both ends of a 7.5 × 15 × 30 cm long proton telescope and position measurements using the difference of the time signals were performed. The position resolution was measured to be 2.5 cm FWHM. An energy resolution ΔE/E = 3 to 4% was measured.
