Hydrated sulfates found in the subsurface at Gusev and at saline playa
on the Tibet Plateau imply a high RH environment, supported by lab
studies. A high-RH, salt-rich subsurface can accommodate organisms,
e.g., halophiles in the Tibet saline playa.
