The interaction effects of flare magnetic clouds are examined for the single flare doublet of August 10, 1979. It is shown that radial acceleration and transverse displacement of the front cloud can occur as the result of the cloud collision. This can lead to the appearance of interplanetary and geomagnetic disturbances near the earth, a rapid arrival of the bow shock, and an anomalous configuration and relatively low instantaneous velocity of this shock.
