Scientific paper

Three body problems involving a planet and a spacecraft orbiting about it are considered. Particular attention is given to the elliptical three body problem of the earth and a spacecraft in lunar orbit with an apocentric distance of about 70,000 km, a pericentric distance of about 4,000 km, a period of about 7 days, the spacecraft trajectory not deviating far from the normal to the lunar orbit plane. Attention is also given to three body problems involving a spacecraft and the Jupiter-sun, earth-sun, Mars-sun, and Mercury-sun systems.
