Results are given from a survey of a section of the Rho Ophiuchi dark cloud region at wavelengths between 2 and 1000 microns. A new method of background subtraction for IRAS raw data is presented. A new sub-mm source, SM1 is reported. SM1 is a cool condensation of dust with a mass and density that make it a candidate protostellar object. Consideration is given to the sub-mm grain emissivity and absorption features observed in the region.
