Variations of the intensity of auroral electrojets and ring current (DR) during the intense magnetic storm of March 23-24, 1969, were investigated on the basis of data from a wide network of auroral, subauroral, and low-latitude stations. It is shown that the relationship between the geomagnetic latitude of the center of the western auroral electrojet can be expressed as Phi = 65.2 deg - 0.035 DR (in nTl). The asymmetry of the DR field increases with increases in the AE indices.
