A cosmological model based on the Hagedorn-Frantschi's statistical model of multiple particle production is discussed. In this cosmological model galaxies are considered as remnants of supermassive resonances. It is argued that, at the present time no theoretical argument (Schwarzschild radius, etc...) can be used to reject the model and observations are consistent with the model. In spite of these two points the model is not to be taken seriously: it only raises interesting theoretical problems and also emphasizes the poor state of present observational data.
