Three sets of data for shock pair disturbances, which are assumed to have been formed from stream-stream interactions, are modeled by using two time-dependent numerical codes to obtain separate solutions for the fluid dynamic and magnetohydrodynamic equations. Simulation of the observed disturbances is described, and the basic approaches for determining the magnitude and location of the initial reaction are outlined. The large-scale structure in the disturbance is shown to be reproduced if the magnetic field and azimuthal velocity are included, if the time dependence of the initial interaction is appropriately selected, and if the observed nonradial shock normals are accounted for in the modeling procedure. It is recommended that all three requirements be met in attempting to simulate data for shock pair disturbances.
