We report spectral analysis of the X-ray pulsar Centaurus X-3 out of eclipse observed by BeppoSAX. The spectrum (0.12-100 keV) is described by an absorbed power-law with a high energy rollover plus an iron emission line, and a soft excess. An absorption feature at ~30 keV is interpreted as a cyclotron line. Phase resolved spectroscopy reveals asymmetric variations of the cyclotron resonance energy that is decreasing along the main peak in the pulse profile, starting from the ascent. This can be explained with an offset of the dipolar magnetic field with respect to the neutron star center. .
