We present a theoretical study of heat transport in electrically insulating ferromagnetic wires containing a domain wall. For classical spin chains with easy axis on-site anisotropy the transmission of propagating spin waves is unity for all but atomically sharp domain walls. Nevertheless, the domain wall heat conductance is found to be suppressed indirectly by bound spin wave states that reduce the number of modes available for transport. We also discuss spin wave reflection that occurs only at atomically sharp domain walls.
