Separate averages of the three-dimensional structure of many plasma sheet parameters have been evaluated based on data taken when a solar wind/magnetosphere coupling function was small, when it was moderate and when it was large. Akasofu's epsilon function is particularly useful because it was calibrated to provide an estimate of the absolute rate at which energy is entering the magnetosphere. One feature of our study therefore provides a measure of the fraction of this input energy that is transported within the central plasma sheet. Some of the other plasma sheet parameters also are strongly dependent on epsilon, and some are not. Some plasma sheet parameters are dependent upon how long the coupling function has been small, moderate or large, and others are not. Examples of each of these correlations will be presented.
